From the moment an investigational drug arrives to the moment a specimen leaves the building, it moves through a set of controlled, monitored spaces. This tour follows that path, sterile compounding, infusion, specimen processing, cold-chain storage, and biohazard handling, exactly as it’s built out across our Cancer Center and Support Center locations.

Cancer Center — Sterile Compounding & Mixing Room
Chemotherapy and infusion medications are prepared here under controlled, gowned conditions before they ever reach a patient. The suite is split into an ante-room and a positive/negative-pressure compounding area, viewable through interior glazing for continuous oversight without breaking sterility.
Infusion & Treatment Room
Private treatment rooms give patients a quiet space for infusion visits, with full monitoring and emergency equipment within reach of the bedside. Each room is wired for vitals monitoring and infusion pumps, with rapid access to the nurse station.
Support Center — Sterile Compounding & Mixing Room
The Support Center runs a second compounding suite, built around a certified biological safety cabinet for sterile preparation. The adjoining counter carries the same hand-hygiene and eyewash provisioning as our other clean-room spaces.
Specimen Processing & Analytical Bench
Every protocol-required sample is spun, sorted, and prepped for shipment at this bench. A refrigerated centrifuge sits at the center of the workflow, with visit-tracking sheets and lab supplies staged within reach for same-visit turnaround.
Investigational Drug Storage
Blinded and unblinded study drug is held in dedicated, access-controlled refrigeration and freezer units, each running continuous temperature logging. Restricted-access signage and lock-out controls keep unblinding information secure.
Biohazard Handling & Storage
Biohazardous waste is segregated at a dedicated, clearly marked storage point from generation through pickup. Access is restricted and signed per OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards at every entry point across both locations.
Spill Response Station
Trace-chemo and hazardous material spill kits are staged in common areas so a response can start within seconds, not minutes. Each station is fully stocked and clearly labeled for immediate use by trained staff.
